Micro-Metrics Paint Inspection Gauge (PIG).

This unit is a Dry Film Thickness Gauge, which is used as a destructive test.

One of three angled cutters is chosen, to cut an angled groove in the coating Measurement is made via the attached microscope through multiple layers to determine total and individual layer thickness of dry film coating on substrates such as

Steel, Glass, Plastic and Concrete etc.

The Gradicle reads 2µm per div with a No 10 cutter, 10µm with a No 2 cutter, and 20µm with a No 1 cutter.

No 10: 2 to 75µm
No 2: 12 to 500µm
No 1: 25 to 1270µm
Range: 2 to 1270µm
Magnification: 50x
