PCWI'S Calibration Laboratory

PCWI'S Calibration Laboratory PCWI's in-house calibration laboratory began at our Cardiff facility New South Wales Australia in June 1995. A wide range of our customer's instruments have been tested in our temperature and humidity controlled environment since then. Our Australian and Overseas customers return their equipment year after year for re-calibration. PCWI's quality management system is certified to ISO 9001 (Quality management systems - Requirements) and the Laboratory operates in accordance with ISO.IEC 17025 (General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories). Any company's Quality Management System certified to ISO 9001 is required to have their measuring equipment calibrated or verified, or both at specified intervals. Any company or individual should have their measuring equipment calibrated so they can be confident their equipment operates within manufacturer's specifications or complies in some circumstances to Australian Standards or International Standards. Equipment calibrated by PCWI is tested in accordance with Laboratory Documents, Manufacturer's Specifications, Australian Standards or International Standards (where applicable). Calibration Certificates issued by PCWI are traceable to NMIA (National Measurement Institute of Australia) via NATA endorsed Reports and applies to PCWI's Reference equipment that has been externally calibrated by NATA accredited Laboratories.

PCWI can certify and provide a traceable report for the following instruments:

All tests & measurements are traceable to the National Measurement Institute (NMI) which is Australia's peak measurement organization responsible for maintaining units and standards of measurement.

The national measurement system is a coherent formal system which ensures that measurements can be made on a consistent basis throughout the country. It ensures that practical measurements made by industry and the community are linked to the International System of Units (SI). 'SI Units' were adopted by international agreement at the General Conference of Weights and Measures in 1960 and they form the basis of Australia's hierarchy of standards.

PCWI Technicians calibrate instruments using reference equipment calibrated and certified by NATA accredited laboratories; therefore the measurements are traceable to NMI.

When required selected reference equipment is calibrated and certified by international laboratories

PCWI can provide conformance certificates for the following instruments:

Instruments are checked and tested to ensure they conform to manufacturer's specifications. With PCWI's technical expertise instruments are checked but the equipment used during testing may not have a certificate of calibration from another laboratory. Where possible an Australian or International Standard may be used to confirm conformance.
